This is Substack-Ships On Fire, a forum for me to post about books, culture, art, science-fiction and stuff like that. I suppose we’ll see how it goes.

My plan is to publish what I judge popular posts for free, and occasionally post subscriber-only posts that are obscure, rebarbative, over-long, concerning nineteenth-century poetry or Latin or oddball interests of mine that other people don’t share. That’ll drive up the subscriber base, I’m sure.
